Spiritual Lessons in the Out Back

Ubirr Rock Northern Territory

As the bus came to a stop and completely oblivious to my surroundings I anxiously made my way to Ubirr Rock. In my reality no one else existed, only me and the sacred land. I began walking down a trail that was so familiar to me, even though in this life I had never been to this world. I stopped for a moment to view the rock art, the most ancient in Australia, believed to be at least 20,000 years old.

As I approached Ubirr Rock a Mimi rock art painting appeared overhead. Mimis are shy spirits who live in caves and paint pictures where no Aborigine could reach. They pull the rocks down to paint on them and then lift them back up when they are finished. The Mimis were the ones who taught the other Aborigines how to paint, and even though they no longer exist as a people, they remain as spirits.

As I walk up the trail leading to Nourlangie Rock, an enormous boulder rising from the dry earth becomes visible. My first lesson of the day will come from this rock I see before me. To those uneducated in Aboriginal culture, the rock does not appear to be anything particularly special, however, its importance in Aboriginal culture, from the perspective of the Aboriginals, the rock is not just any ordinary rock, but rather it is a sacred site depicting their history and culture. The rock,represents the story of a man named Namanjolg.

Namanjolg teaches that incest is wrong

Namanjolg is a perfect example of how Aboriginal people use rock art to inform and instruct. When laws are broken, there are always consequences. The Aboriginal people never developed a written language and spoken languages between different Aboriginal clans vary greatly. They see the rock art as the most effective and universal form of communication between groups. It is also the most effective way to instruct successive generations on their law, culture, and history.

At this point I left the main trail and began walking around the back of the rock and began climbing the 100 ft. vertical wall, at the same time carrying 40 lbs. of camera gear on my back.

As I began my ascent, my reality began to change, I was no longer an American photographer visiting Australia, I was transformed into a native carefully climbing a vertical wall, placing each hand and foot in a strategic place, never pausing, but slowly climbing upward as I had done many times before. Always finding a tree, root or rock ledge enabling me to continue my climb, never pausing but slowly climbing upward in my search for truth.

Reaching the top of this sacred shrine in the middle of some of the most isolated land in the world I began to feel overwhelming love and peace and a sense of being home, I had returned to The Land of Oz.

I felt my consciousness leave my body and rise high above the earth, looking down I could sense two realities, I had a sense of being high above the earth and looking down upon my lifeless body lying on the rocky cliff, I could observe a bird walking on my left arm, at the same time I was the lifeless body on the cliff, feeling and sensing that same bird walking across my arm.

As I lay on this sacred monument, my mind began to pass through the veil of time, into a place from whence all things are seen, back in time, back to a previous millennium, back to the birth of Australia. .

As the land rose from the sea, the mountains began to form high above the plains; the Rainbow Serpent began to transform the land into a new world called Australius. The Dreamtime had begun, the aboriginal world had been created. From this time forth Australius would be home to the native aborigines and their culture.

Looking down, I suddenly re-entered my body and came back to the present reality, slightly dazed and confused about what had just taken place.

Somehow, as I looked at my camera lens, I knew that somewhere in the future, although it may be many years and the message was unclear at this time, the camera and my photography would have an important role in my life as well as many others.

Upon my return to the bus, Mark, our Aborigine driver informed me that I had been on sacred ground, where no one is allowed without permission. There is a $5000 fine for that. He then looked at me, winked and said” But you had permission!”

On to Alligator Creek campground and our last night sleeping on the hard ground in a swag. Not sure to be happy or sad.

Aborigine Sacred Sites: Ubirr Rock

It was July 7th ,after traveling for a month, this was to be our last day in the outback of Australia. I was beginning to feel as though I didn't want to go back to the states, this felt like home to me.

Our final stop of the day before traveling to the Alligator River Campground for the night would be at Jabiru, a new uranium mining town in Kakadu National Park.

The Australian government is trying to correct some of the mistakes that we Americans created in dealing with our American Indians, they have decided that if any precious minerals are found on Aboriginal Land, the wealth is shared with the native peoples. The city of Jabiru is one such instance of this policy being put into effect. It is a very modern city with beautiful parks and lakes.

The problem that has been created is that the Aborigines have lived in the bush for 40,000 years and are having trouble adapting to their new way of life, new housing is built for them, but they refuse to live in it, living instead out side the houses in the back yard.

They have lost their motivation because everything is given to them by the government and their way of life is disappearing, as a result alcoholism and drugs are a major problem.

After dining at one of the many outdoor restaurants, we were looking forward to having the afternoon off and being able spend it swimming in a large lake nearby. It would have been a welcome relief after spending 6 grueling days traveling the Outback of Australia and sleeping in swags (canvas sleeping bags) stretched out on the ground.

It was about this time that Mark, our aborigine driver suggested that if we wanted to see one more Aboriginal Site, he would be willing to drive us. Mark was of Irish descent, however he now followed the aborigine ways In Australia,an aborigine can be any one who is following the aborigine ways, regardless of race, creed or national origin

The aborigines are actually Caucasians and as one of them put it, " Mate , we have stood out in the sun for forty thousand years, if you did that, you would be black also."

I actually saw some who had taken their shirts off, they were as white as someone from Sweden.

Many things began racing through my mind, we had visited many ancient sites in the last week and I really didn’t want to see any more, the swimming sounded really refreshing, but what the heck, I could go swimming at home next week if I wanted, this was my last day in The Land of Oz. I wanted to enjoy it to the max. I knew deep down that this was going to be a very special afternoon, it had been pointed out to me before I left that July 7th would be a day I would never forget.

Traipsing around in the outback for almost a month I had lost track of the time.I was unaware of the date, July 7^th,and as I was about to discover, it would be a highlight in my search for truth.

Besides that , everyone knows all the rivers in Australia are filled with crocodiles and after swimming in those uranium infested waters I would probably glow like a porch light all night.

With that, nine of us boarded the bus for the bumpy, dusty journey of 40 miles of dirt roads that lay ahead. Sitting near the back of the bus I had plenty of time to contemplate what lay ahead and what it would all mean to me.

As we bounced along the dusty road occasionally crossing crocodile infested creeks and rivers it seemed as though I was going back in time, to a time long forgotten, a time remembered only in the Aboriginal Dreamtime. I was a little awed at what was going on around me, I could sense and see the other people on the bus, but it was as though I wasn’t really a part of their reality and they perhaps weren’t part of mine.

The dust from the road filtered into the bus and a layer of red settled on everyone and everything. At times when passing another vehicle, yes there were others out here,it became so dusty in the bus that we could barely see the driver. These times contributed to my feeling that we were passing into another dimension.

It was at this time that I felt as if I was actually alone with no one else sharing my experience. I could actually feel my body becoming lighter and lighter and at the same time I was becoming less aware of the surroundings around me.

We were passing through sacred lands , and the warning not to enter without permission of the tribal elders continuously entered my mind.

My thoughts were interrupted by a sudden jerk and a screeching of brakes, the bus was coming to a stop, we had reached our destination, Ubirr Rock, the home of Lightning Man, a very powerful figure from the Aboriginal Dreamtime

Your Life Plan: One Day at a Time

We all like to think we have our life under control and we know the direction it will go. This can give a false sense of security to us as life’s circumstances are not always what you may wish them to be. The pattern of life does not always go in the direction you may want it to head.

I often say I had my whole life planned when I was twenty-one, and I haven't done any of it yet. This has been a good thing, my life has turned out better than I could have ever imagined in my wildest dreams. I would have never visualized some of the things I have been fortunate enough to experience. It hasn’t always been easy, and at the time, if I thought I had a choice, I would have never chosen some of the events I experienced. But looking back at the big picture I realize the good times and the final outcome has far surpassed any trials I may have had to endure.

Look to the future
There is an old proverb stating that a thing valued is worth enduring and working for and this is true. The harder we strive to meet a goal and the more effort we put towards achieving that goal , the more we value it. I was told early in life that to work for something would make it more important to me, and I soon found this was true. the people that were handed everything on a sliver platter early in life never appreciated them and in most cases either destroyed what was given them or were extremely ungrateful. Most often they even resented the very ones who were trying to pander to them.

You still see this today, many times, the individuals who are the most privileged are the ones protesting against the society that has given them so much.

Our life circumstances are never exactly as we would want them, but they are as we need them. The pattern of life very seldom goes as we plan, if it did , life would be very boring and predictable. Many times we may think we are being lead off our life plan entirely.

In spite of all this, it is essential to have a plan, to not have a plan is to wander aimlessly in life and accomplish very little. Instead of wondering or questioning the direction you life has taken , just accept the fact there is a plan and you may not know all the details, it is a play as you go life, often times we need to complete one step before the next step is revealed to us.

If we keep traveling in the correct direction , we eventually reach our destination , often times the destination is far better than we could humanly predict, and in the end we find that it isn’t the destination, but the journey that is important.

Walk your path one step at a time - with courage, faith and determination. Keep your head up, and cast your dreams to the stars. Soon your steps will become firm and your footing will be solid again.A path that you never imagined will become the most comfortable direction you could ever hoped to follow.
Keep your belief in yourself and walk into your new journey. You will find it magnificent, spectacular, and beyond your wildest imaginings.

The Ark of the Covenant

Over time,there has been much controversy concerning the Ark of the Covenant mentioned in the Holy Bible. Many theories abound about what it could have been , where it is, or if it even existed.

Most believe it contains some secret scriptures concerning who God is, or our connection to him. Many believe it may be some sort of energy source or battery that would enable us to see and meet God. Much time , energy, and money has been spent trying to find the Ark, all to no avail.

Movies and books have been written, “Raiders of the Lost Ark”, being one of the most recent. In the movie Indiana Jones and his group of merry men, and ladies, try to keep the Nazis from recovering the Ark and thus learning the secrets.

Even the story of Noah, had an ark as the central theme of the story. In the legend, the people of the known world had fallen from God, and only the people who still believed in God and followed his teachings were able to board the ark and be saved from annihilation. Whether or not ,this is a true story or just an allegory makes little difference in the scope of the lesson being taught.

The story of the Ark, as well as the story of the reptile, the fruit, and the Tree of Life portrayed in Genesis when Adam and Eve were evicted from the Garden of Eden for eating an apple, which probably wasn’t an apple, pertain to knowledge, or lack therefore of it. Both allude to having the knowledge that would enable mankind to follow God and his teachings and thus secure immortal life.
I feel the point being missed here is the fact we can have all the knowledge possible, but if one doesn’t understand or know what he knows, the knowledge is lost and does us no good, in it fact can even be harmful to our well being.

Thus ,understanding is the key, the secret to life is understanding, that is what both stories have been trying to tell us. When one opens his mind and dispels old concepts to the true meanings of these stories from the past, we begin to realize there is a whole new meaning to life and it opens up a vast field of possibilities to each and every one of us.

Education is important, however when we are educated by someone, we only learn what they know, or think they know. Their perception, right or wrong ,always enters into the equation. Only through trying to understand what the true lesson is, do we finally comprehend what the Supreme Mind is trying to teach us.

This can only be done on an individual basis, no one can teach it to you. The only way is to go within and listen to the God within and experience it on an individual level. Then and only then,will true knowledge will be found through understanding.

The Tree of Life

There are many times events in our life we find hard to explain or even understand while they are playing out in front of our eyes. Many times they are only partially understood and it may take many years before the total lesson is understood.

This was the case many years ago as I attended the funeral service of a friend of mine’s father. At first I wasn’t going to attend but decided to go at the last minute. My original intent was to only attend the service at the funeral home and not go to the cemetery.

Arriving at the service, several mutual friends were in attendance and when the service was over myself and three others decided to go to the cemetery. Driving to the grave site ,I began to feel as though I wasn’t really living totally in the present reality. It was hard to explain, but I began to feel as though I was sensing more than what is normally sensed in normal living. I began to become more aware of other dimensions and realities.

As we walked away from the grave site, back to my van, an erie feeling overcame me, I sensed I was on another planet in a far off star system. I had encountered this before. I was in the Cirrus,or Dog Star galaxy. The Indiana corn fields had disappeared and had been replaced by a very stark, barren environment.

As we continued to the van, my friend and I began walking very close, our shoulders pressing heavily against each other, almost like we were trying to unite our bodies into one. As we walked, I noticed a very dense tree on our immediate left, it seemed out of place and I began to wonder what it was all about. It seemed to be the Tree of Life, but that meant very little to me at the time. I was indeed puzzled about the events that had just transpired as none of the other three participants seemed to be seeing the same visions as I had.

After much thought and meditation, I finally realized we had indeed passed the Tree of Life, but had no idea what the significance of the day’s events were. The only Tree of Life I had ever known of was in the Garden of Eden, and what I had just experienced was no Garden of Eden. I couldn’t even imagine what it all could mean.

I knew in the Garden of Eden story, there was a serpent involved, and a tree, and an apple , which in reality no one knows if it was an apple or not. Shortly after that event, Adam and Eve got kicked out of the garden, but beyond that I was completely bamboozled. Hope I don’t get kicked out of earth, at this point in time , I don’t know of anywhere else to go.

As time went on ,I began to realize the serpent actually symbolized knowledge, and what Adam and Eve did was actually a part of the divine plan, we humans didn’t really fall from grace, but were actually exposed to life whereby we were able to learn the necessary lessons so we would someday be able to return to our creator.

The pieces finally began to fall in place, it was all symbolic. Obviously the funeral symbolized death, and by passing through the veil of death , we entered into a new life and thus life continues, our soul never dies. The Tree of Life does symbolize knowledge, however the missing link is understanding, we can have all the knowledge in the universe, but it does us no good until we reach an understanding as to what it means to us.

It may be the tree of knowledge, however, the understanding has to come from us, the individual, no one can teach that to us. The secret to life is to find the tree of knowledge, which is always near us, and by it understand what life really means to each and every one of us.

Global Warming

Many people today believe that global warming is man made and some day it could destroy the earth and all living things. Many people with this belief are members of the “crisis of the week” club, they fall victim again and again to every new crisis that comes down the pike, often times on a weekly basis.

Anyone who has studied the pattern of weather changes the world has encountered over the millions of years of it’s existence realizes there are always climate changes occurring and humans have had nothing to do with it.

Climate change is a natural event that is continuously taking place. There are always changing weather patterns that can be brought on by many factors completely out of control of human activity.

Large meteors have crashed into the earth and affected weather patterns for many years to come, volcanoes have erupted and spilled more pollutants into the air than humans could contribute in thousands of years. The wobble of the earth which takes thousands of years to reach a full cycle also affects the weather of the whole planet, but it takes place so slowly that civilizations come and go in the meantime and no one notices.

In many places on our planet , the frozen remains of long forgotten animals have been discovered that still have green vegetation in their stomachs, how did those get there? Likewise, in some locations beach sand and seashells are found at 4,500 feet above sea level, such as inSedona Arizona.
One can see different levels of ocean water on the rock cliffs in such places as the American Southwest, and in contrast there are many places throughout the world where lost cities are hidden beneath the ocean waters, having sunk after flourishing for centuries.

There is much evidence that at one time Europe was much warmer than it is today,and in an obvious desert environment there is a large river valley located in the Egyptian desert next to the Giant pyramid of Giza, a river so large it had to have a very large river flowing through it at one time.

All of these instances, and many more point to the fact that the earth has gone through many climatic changes over the years, back to a time before humans roamed the planet and no power plants, SUV’s, or other modern facilities were not yet conceived.

Climate change will always be occurring and despite the thinking of some enlarged egos, humans have very little or nothing to do with it. To think otherwise is preposterous. We are only tiny creatures in the big picture of life and nature.

The Sweater in the Back Seat

Shortly after beginning a new career as a limo driver, I noticed a brown sweater lying in the backseat of my SUV. I always check the backseat after dropping someone off at the airport or their house. Too many times when I haven't done this , I have gotten a mile from their home and their cell phone which is lying in the backseat starts ringing and I wind up driving back to their house with their wayward phone.

I distinctly remember checking the back seat after dropping this lady off late on a Saturday night. The next morning , as I got in my car to leave the house, I checked the back seat, and to my surprise, there was a dark brown sweater lying on the seat. This was strange, I know it wasn’t there last night.

I decided to call the lady that I had dropped off the night before , she informed me it wasn’t hers, so I called a couple other ladies I had taken home in the last day or so, it wasn’t theirs either. So where did the sweater come from?

At this point in time , I really have no idea , the sweater was placed there for a reason, I feel that when I find the owner to the sweater, I will find a large clue as to where my life is going from here.

I feel as though I know who it belongs to , but at this time I will not say. We will just let the universe decide when to unravel this little mystery. Stay tuned!

It's Time to wake Up.

I couldn’t have said it better myself!

You never again have to believe that circumstances outside of you control your life. You never again have to believe that it is wrong to want. You never again have to believe that some great power outside yourself is pulling the strings, or that anyone or anything other than you is in control. You never again have to be afraid of "them" or "it," no matter who or what they may be, unless you so choose.

So how did we get in this mess? You got it! More than six billion people (plus however many more there have been over countless centuries) being born into vulnerable, lackful, fearful vibrations, all focusing on what they don't want and getting more of it.

It was never intended to be that way, but in our anxious state of needing to find a reason why things never seemed to go the way we wanted them to, we figured it had to be the fault of some factor separate from us: the government, the economy, our boss, our marriage, our background, our education, our rotten luck, even God.

The real reality is we have come here to thrive, and prosper, and live this grand human experience in lighthearted joy, not in struggle and pain. We have come here to have fun while we learn, to grow without suffering, and to harvest our desires in the absolute knowledge that we can have it all once we learn how to handle our energies . . . meaning . . . our emotions.

We came here with a guaranteed freedom of choice mandated by the very nature of our existence. The time has come for us to exercise that birthright. We are caught in no one's web. We are bound by no circumstance. We are victims to no conditions. Rather, we are beings who possess the sacred ability to implement any outlandish desire our limitless minds can concoct, for we possess unregulated, unrestricted, uncontested freedom of choice, no matter what those choices may be.

It's wake up time. It's time we remembered how to make those choices happen. It's time to take our heads out of the sand and accept that it's no accident we get what we get in life. It's time for us to stop creating from the improper default setting and remember the secrets of the ancient wisdom we once knew so well before recorded history, wisdom that allowed us to create our passions with simple intent. It is time.

You deserve it all. You deserve to have all of your aspirations realized, no matter what they may be. You have only to want it and feeeeel it, and a whole new life of extraordinary happiness will be yours. Not can be; will be! That is a cosmic guarantee.

We Create Our Own Reality

I had been wanting to visit somewhere that no one spoke English, just to see if I could survive for a week not knowing the native language. That was something I had been thinking about with no real inclination about where to go to accomplish this.

In the meantime , I owned a timeshare in Myrtle Beach that I was unable to use because Hurricane Hugo had struck the area the previous year.As an alternative, RCI offered me a condo in the Canary Islands for only $99, with air fare it would only cost about $900. It seemed like a good opportunity to me so I went for it.

Forgetting all about my desire to visit a land where English wasn’t spoken , I prepared for the trip.

As we journey through life , sometimes events occur that reconfirm how in tune we are to people and events around us. These situations normally come about suddenly and without warning. One such event transpired as I rode the shuttle to my flight at the Philadelphia airport.

Not that I was planning on having any sort of relationship while partaking in my little adventure, I always had thought I would know who It would be safe to have a relationship with because of my inner guidance , doesn’t everyone know this?. No blood tests for me!

As I sat on the bus , a young lady boarded who was a real knock out, dressed in an outfit she must have put on when she was twelve. Sitting across from me , she was a real looker. However, something told me she was carrying more disease around with her than the CDC in Atlanta, no thanks , I will pass. I know now that I can listen to my inner voice. I wouldn’t touch her, even if I was looking. This is going to be an interesting week.

Arriving in Lanzarote , I hailed a cab for my trip across the tiny island to my timeshare at LaSanta Sport, a luxurious complex that is often used by European athletes to train for the Olympics and other events.

Assuming nothing, I find a cab so small my suitcase took up the whole backseat, the driver spoke no English, so I pointed on the map as to where I wanted to go. This should have been an indication as to how the week was going to go.

This guy turned out to be a maniac, driving 100 Km through these tiny towns and blowing his horn so children who were playing in the streets barely had time to jump out of the way, it was one of the few times I have actually been frightened by some one’s driving. I tried to explain to him I was in no hurry, but I soon realized he was the one in a hurry, he wanted to get back to the airport to pick up another fare.

The resort was outstanding, every option one could imagine was available. LaSanta Sport was a world class facility, I would have no problem spending a week here. Forgetting about my desire to spend a week somewhere where no one spoke English, I began the week by relaxing by the pool.

As the week went by, I slowly discovered that there wasn’t anyone I came in contact with that spoke English, this didn’t really seem to strange to me, I was at a Danish resort, however, it had crossed my mind that almost everyone in the world does in fact speak some form of English.

Accepting it for what it was, I went about life doing a lot of pointing and using hand signals, I was getting along quite well. the Europeans obsession with soccer was giving me more problems than the fact no one was speaking English.

It was World Cup week so everyone’s attention was focused on the games,even the waiters in the restaurants would be watching the games while taking my orders,and they say we are obsessed with foot ball!

I was leaving on Saturday, and finally on Friday evening, I began meeting people who were speaking English. It was amazing, suddenly everyone spoke the Queen’s English, after all , the Dane’s are an English speaking country.Where have you been?

Suddenly it dawned on me, how could I be so dense? I had wanted to visit somewhere that no one spoke English, my wish had been fulfilled, I had created my own reality. I had created a world where no one spoke English, at least not to me. The world we create is our world and most often no one else is experiencing reality in exactly the same way we are.

Thankfully this all came about just in time, speaking with a nice Danish man, I happened to mention my cab ride the previous week. He volunteered that their group was leaving in the morning and I could ride on their bus to the airport.

Although it would get me to the airport three hours early, I jumped at the opportunity, I ain’t riding with that guy again!

Spiritual Lessons in the Out Back

Nearing the end of our month long walkabout in the outback of Australia, our bus was traveling northward towards our destination for the evening, Cooinda. Located in Kakadu Wildlife Park, Cooinda contains a large billybong, or small lake. Billybongs are created by the monsoonal rains that are common in the BackO’Beyond during the rainy season. They hold large reservoirs of water that the wildlife thus survive on during the long droughts often experienced during the winter months.

As the months wear on, the billybongs become smaller and smaller as the water is not only consumed by the various forms of wildlife including crocodiles, but also lost during evaporation . Dusk was rapidly descending upon us , as suddenly , the smell of hot metal began to infiltrate the interior of the bus.

This could only mean one thing, and it wasn’t something we wanted to face at this time. Our bus engine was overheating, being miles from civilization, this was not a good thing. Pulling over to the side of the dirt road, our aboriginal driver exited the bus and raised the hood to determine the damage.

Knowing a little about engines, I assumed that if the engine wasn’t totally destroyed, it soon would be. The driver announced that we should just take a break, take a few photos and the bus would be ready to run again as soon as it cooled off. I’m thinking, Fat Chance!

As the sun settled over the horizon, the bus started and we were again on our way. This can’t last forever! Two more days before we arrive in Darwin, can we make it?

Crossing several crocodile infested streams we finally arrive at our campground. I asked the driver if they were going to send another bus, stupid question. From Where? He gave me a nod, but I felt the nod meant , no.

Since we were due in Darwin on Saturday and my flight wasn’t until Sunday, I decided to not worry about the bus, I had an extra day to hitchhike if need be, and by this point in time I began to realize everything would work out perfectly, so there was no need to worry. Sit back , learn and enjoy, good advice for life no matter what the situation.

I realized long ago the aborigines had a connection with the universe most of us don’t have and their insight can carry one through the most extreme situations. Needless to say , we arrived at Darwin airport just two hours before our comrades of the past week were scheduled to fly back home, plenty of time, and the bus is still running.

After dropping us off at our hotel , the remaining passengers were going on an additional tour , bidding them farewell, we assumed we would never see them again. A friend and I decided to go to the beach, hang around and get some superb sunset photos , return to the hotel and go out to dinner with our remaining group.

Arriving back at the hotel just after sunset, we were astonished to find our fellow travelers waiting on us, they had gotten just a few minutes from the hotel when the bus blew up.

It turned out to be quite an evening, since the trip was cut a day short, our driver decided to spring for dinner. after enjoying dinner at a Indian restaurant, complete with very expensive wine, ( we decided to splurge on the wind since the driver was buying dinner), we migrated to the Sportsman’s Bar located on the beach in Darwin. A night of dancing, jitterbugging and comradely ensured.

Arriving back at our hotel about 3 AM, it would be a short night, our flight back to Cairns was at 6.

It had been a powerful lesson, the one that teaches us that we already know what we have just been taught. Each of us has the knowledge inside us that will guide us through life, all we need to do is let it shine through.

We Have Lost our Way

It doesn’t matter how much effort we put into following our life path, we all occasionally lose our way. Events and circumstances occur that can change our perspective immediately. When this happens it can create an environment where we begin to question everything we think we know,and as a result, we can lose our way and wander aimlessly until a new path and way of life determined.

This is all well and good, it is the natural order of things. These are the times when our faith will carry us through. Regardless of what we may experience , the in-grown values each of us have will eventually shine through and lead us back to our path.

As cultures and values change, we change also. The Australian Aborigines are a prime example. Once, as nomadic tribes , they roamed the out back of Australia and became very much in tune with nature and the environment around them. They became very astute at being able to foretell coming events and adapting to a way of life consistent to their surroundings. With the coming of the Europeans, they now must adapt to a new way of life, which after living for 40,000 years under a gum tree it is very difficult to do.

In many ways the life they had was more fulfilling than the way of life they now have. As a result of the cultural shift, many are now resorting to drugs and alcohol as a respite from their daily life. Many have forgotten the teachings of their fathers, and not being able for a variety of reasons to assimilate into modern day culture, they are floundering aimlessly through life.

Hopefully one day they will regain their sense of well being and begin to assimilate into modern society while sharing their their spirituality with us.

Us in the modern day world, with all the advances in technology, have spiritually lost our way also. It has become apparent there is a great spiritual void in today’s world, evidenced by the discontent and disconnect from society. With all the modern technology and conveniences in today’s world we should be the happiest people to ever inhabit our planet.

Regretfully this isn’t true, modern man has placed too much emphasis on things and not enough on the more important aspects of our lives. Many have forgotten the value of friendships and most of all their connection to their creator, the Grand Architect of the Universe. The one who is responsible for all we have.

This connection needs to be re-established before it is too late, we have advanced technology to be able to have more time to enjoy our relationship with each other, not to take away from it. Technical advances are well and good, I don’t think anyone really wants to live in a Tee Pee any more, or suffer the many diseases of the past. However, there needs to be a balance.

Modern day society needs the inherent knowledge the aborigines and other native tribes have. If we don’t somehow find that balance we will all suffer the consequences, and I don’t think anyone wants that. They hold the keys to our spiritual knowledge.
Wouldn’t it be great if we could combine their knowledge of the spiritual world with our technology?
What a world we would have.

Was Jesus Perfect?

Was Jesus Perfect?

This question first entered my mind when I was six years old and in the first grade of elementary school. Up until that point in time I really hadn’t been exposed to anyone who believed differently than I did. Growing up in a Protestant home , I hadn’t even been exposed to anyone of the Catholic faith. Not that being Catholic has anything to do with the lesson herein .

Conversing with a friend of mine who was Catholic, the topic of Jesus came up and he mentioned that Jesus was the only perfect human to ever walk the earth. Without thinking I announced that no one was perfect. He chuckled and proclaimed,”What kind of religion do you follow if you think Jesus wasn’t perfect?”

It wasn’t that I didn’t think he was perfect, however the normal concept of what perfect is puzzled me, even at that young age. People have a different concept of perfection based upon their experiences and environment. Obviously someone living in New York City has a completely different perception of perfection than someone living in the heart land of America or even some one from a different country.

Contrary to what is commonly known, human nature being what it is , I’m sure there where many in Jesus’s time that thought he wasn’t perfect. Being of the Jewish faith , the fact he wasn’t married would certainly have raise eyebrows among the faithful. His carousing about the country and not having a real job or profession would have had many tongues wagging, and most certainly the Romans didn’t even stop to consider him being perfect.

There had to be more to it than our human idea of what perfection is. I pondered this question for almost 60 years before the answer finally became apparent to me. I had no doubt Jesus had done everything and probably more than the bible said he did, I believed he walked on water, (with out knowing where the stones were,)I believed he healed the sick and raised the dead, made water into wine and all the other so-called miracles attributed to him.

But there was still something that bugged me about the perfection thing. I was missing something. I kept remembering something I overheard my daughters say when they were very young. It alluded to the statement Jesus made when he said,”These things that I do, yea shall do also.” Somehow that always stuck with me, somehow I knew that if Jesus did it, if I knew how I could also do it.

After all, there are many faith healers walking the planet today, people who can walk on fire and perform many other “miracles”, such as psychic surgery. What do they know that I don’t, and doesn’t this in some small way relate to what Jesus did?

After many years of pondering not only this questions , but many other things of a spiritual nature, it finally hit me, and I in my own mind figured it out. Perfection has nothing to do with physical features, or actions. Although our “perfection” does affect our actions and physical attributes. Anyone who has achieved a certain amount of perfection will have a positive appeal, both physically and mentally to the masses.

Perfection has everything to do with our connection to God ,our creator . When we are attuned to divine intelligence, we have reached perfection. It is then we are in direct communication to that force we call God, it is then we can live our life to the fullest and reach our highest potential.

This is what Jesus was trying to teach us, it was more about the message than the messenger. He was telling all who would listen that we are in control of our destiny, it is for us to decide what we want in life, it is for none else, just us and us alone. The only Master of our life is us, we are in complete control, even though things naturally happen to us that we seemingly would rather not experience, everything happens for a reason and it is for us to decide how to handle the situation and learn from it.

Only by staying in tune with our creator can we achieve perfection, it has nothing to do with physical appearance, attitude, or actions, however, if we are perfect in our connection with our creator, our actions, appearance, and attitude will be an outward indication of it.

Positive Thoughts Can Change Your Life

Most of us spend our lives wishing for something we don't have. While we realize we can have anything we want , but not everything, very few people go beyond the realizing stage to the having stage. Many want to change their life, but few actually take the steps necessary to accomplish their goals.

Most settle into everyday life and take life as it comes and become comfortable and never accomplish what they are capable of achieving. In a sense it is probably close to impossible to reach our highest potential, there is always something else we could do.

However, having said that,we can change our outer world to something more to our liking. But, we have to keep in mind, to change your outer world, you must change your inner world. If you attempt to change your world externally without doing the necessary inner changes, you will just keep repeating the same happiness destroying patterns over and over again, until you finally decide to change your thinking habits. The moment your thoughts change, so will your life.

Whatever you focus on, you will attract. If you continuously fear something will happen, guess what? It will happen. Your thoughts create actions . Your subconscious mind is unbiased in turning your thoughts into actions. It has no concept of what you want or what you don't want, it only listens to your thoughts.

When you aren't aware of how powerful your thoughts are, you will spend much time thinking about what you don't want. Thus you will keep receiving more of the same. You will keep being the victim, you will continuously find people and situations that turn those thoughts into reality.

This in turn will further convince you that life is unfair and increase your feelings of being a victim. Look at the news headlines of today, certain groups are always identified as victims and as a result they keep playing the same game even though many members of these very same groups succeed in the same environment. This proves my point, you are only a victim if you want to be, your environment has nothing to do with it. If your environment is stopping you from succeeding, change your environment.

You weren't born to live a small uneventful life. This doesn't mean we all need to be world leaders in our chosen field. It just means we need to shift our attitude to realizing we can live the life we desire and were destined to lead when we entered the earth plane of existence.

When this is realized, the universe has no choice but to give you what you want instead of what you don't want. All you need to do is focus on and realize what you do want. You have many choices, your job is find find the one life you desire, (this is probably the most difficult, because of all the options), and go for it. If it is in your best interest and it is what you really desire, it will happen.

You have now put yourself on your path, follow it and never fear where it may lead.

You are Where You Need to Be

At this point in time, many people feel they are not completing their “mission” on earth. Many feel they are stuck in time and not progressing as they should. At this time, it is the perfect time to remember , you are right where you should be at this moment .

When these feelings surface, it means you life is about to change, you have done everything necessary to effect your moving into the next stage of your life, you are only waiting for the universe to respond to your prayers.

Often times one may feel remorse over deeds done or left undone in the past. At this point , the past doesn’t affect your future, you have done everything necessary to create a more desirable future, the past doesn't matter, just let it go.

There can be many reasons why you are where you are at this time in history, none of the reasons matter, the only thing that makes is a difference is your reason for advancing.

Just as the actions you feel may hinder your future, the triumphs also make little difference, you are in the here and now, it is time to move on. Once this is realized, one naturally feels completely free, free of any obligations or karma, the future is now yours to mold into what you most desire.

You now realize the only thing holding you back is your belief that something is holding you back. Now is the time to go beyond the limits you have placed upon yourself. it is time to reach inside yourself and touch your soul, realize you can have whatever your heart desires.

Now is the time to be true to the light that burns deep inside you, hold on to your dream, and be mindful of the good thoughts and feeling in your heart. Now is the time to follow your talents and passions, don’t take the road others say you must follow, or a path because it would seem easier or more popular.

There is no light or desire that burns brighter than the light burning inside of you, hide not your light under a bushel,be true to yourself, follow your dream, it will guide you to your own personal greatness and you will be admired and loved just for who you are.

Life With the Reptilians

The Reptilians have gained much publicity over the last several years, a lot of the press concerning them has been negative . From my own personal experience, I’m not sure where that is coming from. I suppose like every other negative reaction, it is because of fear and misinformation, or no information at all.

Many people , when they first encounter life forms from other dimensions and realities feel fearful , this is understandable. We as members of the human race are always fearful of unknown and new encounters.

Reptilians have been inhabiting planet earth as long as planet earth has been supporting any form of life. It is only natural that when a soul begins to sense alternate life forms and other realities, the first entities they encounter would be the reptilians.

There is nothing to fear, as a matter of fact, since they were the original inhabitants of planet earth, in a sense, they are our ancestors, family,so to speak. Many souls living today have direct links to the reptilians, it can be seen in their physical makeup. Many originated from the same planetary solar system as they did.

They were some of the first to master time travel, they are able to teleport between the various solar systems at will, thus the reptilians are more available to us than many of the other life forms.

They have only our best interests at heart, would you not only have the best interests of your children at heart? They have been coming here for many millenniums, aiding us as much as they are capable without interfering with our own karma.

They have no desire to make us slaves, only if one is afraid of dying or being manipulated will it appear that is what they are doing. It is by performing these acts they are trying to show us the way to overcome our fear of these events.

They are encouraging us to grow spiritually, because when we grow, they grow as well. Just as many extraterrestrials we encounter are our descendants, so many of us are descendants of the reptilians.

In the coming days and years, our earthly knowledge of other life forms will increase and as a result, earth beings will enjoy a new found freedom and unlimited possibilities will abound. In the years to come government will exert less influence in our lives as humanity begins to realize the way to self actualization is through human free will, not relying on an outside entity.

Walk With the Gods

The year 1988 had been quite eventful and at that time a culmination of events from the last few years.

For the past several years , my search for the meaning of life had taken many turns. What had began as a simple well meaning past time had become a full time avocation, leaving only time to perform my daily obligations associated with earning a living. Even that had become an obligation I began to resent.

My search had taken me to many parts of the United States and Egypt, it had left me longing to visit many more of the sacred sites around the world. My search had led me to consult with psychics, mediums , and spiritual ;leaders. I head even subjected myself to hypnosis on various occasions.

The more I learned , the more I wanted to know. My latest adventure , which included two trips to Sedona had shown me there was much more to life than I had ever imagined. While visiting Sedona, I had come in contact with extraterrestrials, both in a conscious state and also under hypnosis.

Just returning from my second excursion to Sedona in August I was completely blown away. While under hypnosis, besides reliving several past lives, I had encountered extraterrestrials, and traveled to a lost underground crystal city beneath Sedona.

All of this was mind blowing, a few years previous, I would never even imagined such a thing, and now I take it as fact. Following the sessions in Sedona, I needed some time to myself, so I spent a few days in Tucson contemplating what I had encountered. Even though it seemed far beyond the realm of reality, somehow, to me it made sense.

Returning home, I discovered a friend’s wife had passed away, she was quite young but had suffered from diabetes and was quite ill. All of this was more than I thought I could handle, but at least my new found belief in re-incarnation lead me to believe in a life after this existence so I believed she didn’t really die, she just passed on to another reality.

I knew then we are all Gods, we came to earth to rediscover our heritage, to be reborn into the Gods we were meant to be. We had been given free will so we could choose the lives we want and need to live, that is the lesson taught when Eve ate the apple in the Garden of Eden. By that act , we are able to choose our own life plan and make decisions based on our individual need to know.

We all have free will and by it we can choose a life of rediscovery and rebirth, a time worn path back to our creator, whom we are all a part of. It is a path we all take , in fact we are always on that path, even though many times we don’t consciously realize it, it is the reason for our existence, by following our path, we may again walk with the Gods.
