The Rapture
There
has been much talk and speculation over the centuries concerning the
Rapture. The common line of thought being that when the final days
descend upon the earth, Jesus will come down and take all the good souls
to heaven, much like he ascended 2000 years ago. Throughout the
centuries people have been looking for some place better than planet
earth to spend eternity.
Normally these same people are the ones who are experiencing extreme hardships during their existence on planet earth. Who can blame them for wanting a better life? I certainly couldn’t. However, over the years I have come to believe more and more that we create our own destiny and the life we lead here on planet earth.
In many ways, the ones who have the hardest path in life are the ones who are learning the most, their trials and tribulations are giving them the opportunity to learn and resolve differences between them and their fellow man. I do know it is hard to remember when you are standing knee deep in the swamp, surrounded by alligators, that your original intention was to drain the swamp.
At times like this one needs to focus on your original goal and not be distracted by distractions. As the country and western songs states “When you’re going through hell, keep on going, maybe you’ll get out before the devil knows you are there.”
As we enter what many people are calling the final days and as many people believe the world will end with the culmination of the Mayan calendar , more and more people are beginning to look forward to the rapture.
My own personal belief is that many people are going to be disappointed on December 22, 2012, they will wake up and still be on planet earth. You aren’t going anywhere, if there is shift in consciousness, which is what I believe is happening, we are entering a new realm of consciousness and while some will notice the shift, most will not. Souls will be drawn to like minded people and this will alleviate a lot of the tension and misunderstanding today. The ability to understand people will also increase so the strong division lines of belief will sort of disappear.
As far as the rapture goes, it begins with you, it is a personal thing, it has nothing to do with anyone but you. Each of us will experience it in our own way. You begin to realize that it is OK to not be perfect, we all have faults. You begin to realize you are a part of everyone and everything on the planet. You begin forgiving yourself and everyone who has supposedly wronged you. Perfection has more to do with our connection to God than it does any physical characteristics .
The rapture is all about feelings, you feel you are swimming in an ocean of love and everything that enters your realm of existence is for you own good. You begin to feel a connection with the God Source you have never felt before. The rapture is a state of mind, not a physical departure. Many of your old thoughts and beliefs are leaving your mind and are being replaced with more Christ like thinking. When you begin to experience these things, you are partaking in the rapture.
