Spiritual Ancestors

What are spiritual ancestors, and are they the same as our physical ancestors?

Anyone who has been involved in studying the esoteric world for any time has come across the term "Spiritual Ancestors".

It is often wondered how they relate to us and the souls we are related to in this life experience. Many wonder if they are they same ancestors as we experience on the physical plane.

In all probability, most of the family members and associates we encounter on a daily basis are also our spiritual ancestors, but this isn't always the case, and they certainly don't always assume the same role in our lives as they do in the spirit world.

In the general scheme of things, we carry beliefs and characteristics not only from our physical relatives, but our spiritual ones as well. Many times we find ourselves behaving like and compatible with friends as much or more than our blood relatives. If this is the case , you can safely assume you have a karmic past with them and they are probably part of your spiritual family.

Not forgetting about karma and our dealings with others in previous existences where some people we associate with are not part of our so-called spiritual blood line.In those instances we are encountering them to settle unresolved issues from the past.

On a personal level , I have found that with people who a part of my spiritual family, I feel a greater bond to and feel really close and loving. Many times our lives will follow the path of our  spiritual ancestors as much or more than our physical ones.

In researching one's past lives , there normally develops a pattern that each life follows, rather it be spiritual, political, lives of a common citizen, rebel or whatever. In the realm of spiritual development, it really doesn't matter which path we assume, all paths are valid.

Researching our own path and that of our spiritual and physical ancestors, we find a common thread that molds and shapes our current existence and directs us in the most desirable path for this lifetime's learning experience. By learning where we came from we are able to determine where we are going and the best way to perceive our world, not only as an individual soul, but as the whole of the species.

Remembering we are photo morphs, (light beings and energy) formed by our mind into the desired situation to live our lives to the highest good of all concerned. One of the most important lessons to learn during our earth experience is that matter is just condensed light,and love is the force behind evolution.From this we learn there are only two forces in creation, love and fear.

Anything else is just an extension of the two. Over coming fear is a matter of gaining faith, which can only be learned by experience, not tradition, a faith without experience is only legalism and can only go nowhere. We soon learn that our relationship with Christ teaches us that Christ is the perfect incarnation of divine spirit and the second coming is a coming to individual hearts, not the world as a whole.
