Destiny

Destiny

Do we manifest destiny as we live our life, or is it pre-ordained?

That has been a question asked by mystics since the beginning of time. Does God choose our life and how we are to live it  before we are born? Is there some divine  council of select masters that determine our life, or do we choose along with the people that are going to participate in our life experience , a rough sketch of our life plan, and then make choices after birth on how to carry out the play and thus learn from the experiences?

To me it only seems logical that if God gave us free will then we would be the one making the choice of when we are born and into what life situation we enter into. It doesn't seem reasonable to have free will in one area of our lives, such making a decision whether to buy a hot fudge sundae or a milk shake, and not having free will in another more serious area. To me one can't have free will in one area and not another, if that were the case , we really wouldn't have free will. We would only have free will when God said we had it. If that were the case it would be the free will of God and not us.

Although it may seem as if some individuals have been given a bad hand when it comes to how their lives are being played out, and I would be the first to have sympathy for them, If we realize they have chosen to live that live for the lessons that can be gleaned from that experience, and to possibly repay some karma, it becomes easier to understand how life can be fair.

If God is just, than that can be the only answer, what other reasonable answer can one come to, why would God create different life situations for everyone, unless it is to give us the opportunity to learn and grow from the experiences ? To me it's kind of like when our parents said, "This is going to hurt me more than it does you, but it's for your own good."

It is through the common sense use of free will that we evolve and over come whatever karma one has created, then in this way we become more Godlike and as a result become closer to our God Source. This is what God or our co-creator had in mind.
